Dow Jones Sales Operations Manager (SFDC) in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

As a member of the Global Sales Operations team, the Sales Operations Manager role will lead CRM planning, delivery and improvements. The role will help define and deliver on the strategic vision for SFDC and related sales tools and provides best practice sharing and ownership of the associated sales processes.

The Sales Operations Manager role requires a dedicated focus on Sales Process, Analysis, Strategy, Communication, Partnership and Leadership. The role demands an exceptional understanding of all selling roles and an ability to translate the above core focus areas into the appropriate sales workflow.

The Senior Sales Operations Manager’s success will ultimately be based on increased productivity of the sales group and its management through the enhanced value of current and future sales tools available to sales staff, and provision of meaningful data and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales management and technology to develop the SFDC roadmap

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards within SFDC and other analytical tools

  • Provide training and ongoing support to sales and sales management in the use of CRM and other sales tools

  • Act as SFDC reporting expert and support sales/sales management with special reporting requests.

  • Monitor adherence to sales process as viewed via CRM and other sales tools. Identify and correct non-compliance.

  • Participate in ad hoc strategic projects as required

  • Maintain professional and productive relationships with vendors acting as business lead on contract negotiations

  • Respond to sales teams on day-to- day revenue inquiries

  • Liaison with technology and finance on technology development, reporting and data issues

  • Ensure accuracy of SFDC and related sales reporting tools

Skills & Experience

  • At least five years of sales operations/business analysis experience preferably with a B2B sales team

  • Expert knowledge of and analytics (Wave/Einstein)

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

  • Project management experience preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred

  • High level of initiative and self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment. Proactive, with a “can do” attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment.

  • Very good organizational sensitivity and commercial awareness, with a good perception of client requirements and the ability to take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
