Job Description:

Pricing and Data Analyst, Revenue Operations

Dow Jones, the world’s premier publisher of online business and financial news including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and MarketWatch, has an exciting career opportunity available as a Pricing and Data Analyst within the Revenue Operations team.

As a Pricing and Data Analyst, you will analyze and optimize pricing across our digital media suite. This position will play a critical role in ensuring yield is continuously optimized across WSJ and Barron's Group. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pricing and revenue growth with strong quantitative and analytical skills, and an interest in the digital ecosystem.

This role will work closely with Finance, Business Intelligence, Planning, Programmatic, Performance and sales leadership teams, and across media types including digital display, native, podcasts, and video.


  • Fully own the pricing model used in WSJ Barrons Group digital business and continuously develop enhancements to ensure it properly encompasses the business.

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including Ad Operations, Planning, Finance and product team on pricing analysis for the overall portfolio, ensuring prices are optimized to appropriately reflect demand and business priorities.

  • Develop data visualizations to monitor pricing KPI and inventory trends

  • Analyze price sensitivity by sector, market segment, demand and reservations across multiple sales channels, and added value margins.

  • Participate in the optimization of operational workflow and internal process controls, promote adherence to process and identify potential risks


  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields including Business Analytics, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.

  • 1-2 year of working experience, preferred in pricing, business intelligence or digital media

  • Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem-solving skills; Expert level Excel modeling experience required. Experience with BigQuery and Python is highly desirable

  • Strong data visualization skills in Excel, Tableau and Data Studio

  • Strong communication skills: ability to translate quantitative details into clear, succinct summaries and recommendations for peers, sales, and executive audiences. Possess an ability to work effectively and interface with both the sales team and product teams.

  • Strong capacity to work with internal partners to improve processes and develop best practices.

  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
