The Custom Integrated Specialist will play an essential role on the WSJBG Live team, bridging the functions of sponsorship sales and the production of sponsor activations and other deliverables. The Sponsorship Events Manager will work closely with all key functional areas of events, including Production/Program Management, Marketing/PR, Programming, Creative and Sales.This role is also the internal product champion, accountable for client retention and increasing revenue across the Dow Jones portfolio of media brands. The position must support our custom client portfolio and with their deep product knowledge, identifying new growth opportunities and retention strategies. This is an essential role on the WSJBG Live team, bridging the functions of custom sponsorship sales and the production of custom events and other deliverables. This individual will work closely with all key functional areas of custom events, including Custom Production/Program Management, Marketing/PR, Custom Programming, Creative and Sales.
Responsibilities:
Deliver deep product knowledge and insight in a sales environment
Build product profile/awareness internally and externally
Support custom content sell-in, working with sector specific client relationship managers
Coordinating pre and post meeting prep
Liaise closely with the internal product teams and add value to the RFP cycle, which includes idea generation
Ability to lead and help us grow custom event efforts and presence
Ensure successful delivery and execution of custom events
Monitor and communicate status of projects to clients and internal Sales Partners
Own and manage client status calls on an as-needed basis
Oversee and adjust client priorities as needed; Communicating those changes and the implications of the changes to all members of the team
Manage client expectations and deliverables in collaboration with Sales Partners and Program Managers
Aid in optimizing workflows, best practices and processes where necessary
Manage and deliver sponsorship benefits across a suite of sponsors and events
Ensure successful delivery of client objectives and deliver ROI while upholding the standards and needs of a live event editorial, production, marketing and programming teams
Take an active interest in business development.
Own client communications, creating/owning contact and status reports, and sharing feedback with the client and the internal teams. Act as point person between client and Events stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 3 of experience in managing complex media sales with hands-on experience of solution selling to business level decision makers.
Client Service experience essential (minimum 4 years in account management, client services or events management)
Experience with, and understanding of, detailed client deliverables
Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
Ability to multitask and juggle multiple competing priorities
The ability to manage timelines
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Solid interpersonal abilities
Energy, enthusiasm, and comfort with an entrepreneurial, fast-changing environment
Proficiency in Google Suite
An interest in current affairs, news, and media is helpful.
Comfortable in all selling situations and in interfacing directly with senior decision making clients.
Deep understanding of custom content, plus other digital, mobile and print products.
Keen awareness of social and social amplification options and vendors.

Increase the value and performance of our media partnerships with Live Journalism offerings
Support event sell-in, working with the Global Customs Sales Team on all things associated with a custom activation / program
Support the Global Integrated Marketing team’s RFP submissions, providing cleared inventory, pricing and feasibility
Liaise closely with the internal product teams and proactively build valuable sponsor packages catered to sales needs
Build product profile/awareness with custom and sales team
Bridge the gap between event business shared with US and global sales teams
Deliver deep event knowledge and insight to clients and sales organization
Joins region status calls and shares any event updates and nuances as needed
Drive post sale customer success
Lead onsite client relationship as it pertains to activations, performance and renewals in the APAC region
Provides localized event go-to-market knowledge and co-authors localized event strategy for each APAC and EMEA regions
Positioned as our global events sherpa
Qualification/Requirements:
● A minimum of 3-5 year of experience in managing complex global media sales with hands-on experience of solution selling to business level decision makers.
● BA or BS degree preferred
● Comfortable in all selling situations and in interfacing directly with senior decision making clients.
● Deep understanding of global conferences plus other digital, mobile and print products.
● Keen awareness of social and social amplification options and vendors.
