Dow Jones Business Development Associate in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

As a Business Development Associate, you’ll support the Business Development team on all existing projects and new initiatives. You will gain exposure to cross-functional executives and key leaders, both internally and with partners, on critical projects that drive Barron’s Group’s revenue and audience objectives. You will help support business-critical projects from beginning to end, manage the relationships with strategic partners, and develop a broad perspective on the latest industry trends and market opportunities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing operations of strategic partnerships, including partnership consultations, new product integrations, and executive escalations.

  • Prospect new partnership opportunities and business ventures.

  • Develop and maintain strategic reporting and analysis to help the Business Development team monitor, identify, and prioritize business opportunities.

  • Work cross-functionally with a broad range of internal constituents (e.g. Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Editorial), to support partnership initiatives.


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a client facing business development position at an internet or media company.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple time-sensitive projects with an entrepreneurial, open-minded, collaborative, and committed approach to business.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Analytical, detail oriented, and results driven.
