The Wall Street Journal Pro Account Executive will be responsible for managing and growing an assigned territory of clients across all of the Wall Street Journal Pro products. The successful candidate will discover, build and maintain strong relationships in their territory. He / she will work closely with internal teams to uncover new opportunities and convey the value and benefits of Wall Street Journal Pro memberships.
The Account Executive will be expected to build and execute a plan to meet and exceed target revenue goals. They will build a pipeline through successful calls and email communications to meet sales targets. They will follow a metrics-driven approach to manage a pipeline of opportunities usingSalesforce to ensure predictable monthly revenue performance. The Account Executive will successfully schedule and conduct product demos to prospects. They will need to partner with our Marketing team to conduct targeted and content-led e-mail campaigns and share with the commercial and product team to adjust product/sales processes where necessary.
Additionally, the Account Executive will be responsible for providing feedback to internal groups regularly and participating in special projects where needed. This includes gathering intelligence about their market and suggesting custom strategies, communicating actions and sharing best practices with the team. This role involves collaborating with DJ teams to grow revenue overall.
The successful candidate will possess:
Minimum 2-5 years sales and account management experience. Strong prospecting, needs analysis, negotiating and closing skills.
College degree (or equivalent), preferably in finance, economics, or media
Proven track record of success exceeding sales targets and managing a new business territory
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven presentation skills. Includes ability to speak effectively with all levels of management.
Excellent time management and organizational skills required.
Ability to balance remote and in-person work.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Understands how to work with different people and different working styles across the organization and inside member companies.
Positive, energetic and dynamic self-starter.
Ability to convey a sense of urgency.
