Job Description:

The Account Management team is the center of excellence for post-sale custom programs within The Trust that produces custom campaigns with intelligence and integrity for Wall Street Journal | Barron’s Group. This team is dedicated to white-glove client service on bespoke programs (programs that include custom content, videos, podcasts, newsletters, activations, innovation, etc.) above and beyond standard media buys. In addition, Account Management acts as our client advocates and work with internal departments to ensure that our clients

needs are understood and satisfied.

The Account Director will report directly into the SVP, Strategic Brand Solutions.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is articulate, highly organized, customer service focused, a great communicator, problem solver, has a great attitude and is a team player. When leading a project, the Account Management Team is solely responsible for all elements of a client's program and collaborating with the respective DJ teams that contribute to the success. This includes and is not limited to: custom content deliverables, live journalism and event components, primary or secondary research, media plan/key placements and all key client deadlines, launch dates, etc. so experience and expertise in these areas is key.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Client Partners to set strategic direction, drive renewal and revenue growth for each account.

  • Set expectations and standards to which all are held equally accountable, with firmness, authority, and encouragement

  • Lead, mentor and support the team to provide vision, purpose, direction and motivation

  • Assign resources/projects within sector(s) and mobilize team to execute

  • Establish best practices for first-to-market executions and/or program learnings

  • Exude and instill confidence for the account team and the client

  • Strategically guide both the client and the custom team to ensure a successful relationship

  • Mentor Account Management team through team meetings and 1:1s with direct reports

  • Troubleshoot, solve problems, and escalate issues to leadership as needed

  • Provide clients with appropriate and professional counsel while coaching, mentoring, and training the account team

  • Assure cross-department teams are aligned and providing strategic deliverables to the client

  • Act as senior-level client contact, ultimately responsible for the performance and success of the account

  • Oversee client budget and ensure SOW/IO documentation is signed in advance of spending on the program and filed appropriately

  • Act as sector lead, responsible for clear sense of status across all programs both ongoing and in pre-sale

  • Bring together all departments/channels and respective staff for smooth operations of the account

  • Oversee Creative Director and Editorial sector leads in ensuring all deadlines/deliverables are met

  • Ensure quality control and timeline management across creative deliverables.

  • Elevate the client relationship and manage clients for complex / high-touch programs while demonstrating commitment to a fantastic user/member experience.

  • Performance/Insights:Partner to provide analysis of media performance and content effectiveness and/or ROI. Post-production campaign management quality control -- focus on implementation
