Dow Jones Junior Project Manager - Ad Operations in LONDON, United Kingdom

Job Description:

Dow Jones, the world’s premier publisher of online business and financial news including The Wall Street Journal Online, Barron’s Online and MarketWatch, has an exciting career opportunity available as a Junior Project Manager within the Strategic Planning & Delivery (SP&D) team. As the Junior Project Manager, you will play a critical role in the functioning of the ad operations group. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our internal operations, aiding in the implementation of new products and processes. The successful candidate needs to be able to communicate well at all levels of the business.

Daily tasks also include administrative or analytical tasks, maintain contact with vendors and company personnel, answer questions and concerns and enter project data. Responsible for all details of a project/task assigned to his/her supervision. The candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a high volume/deadline oriented environment. Must coordinate people and processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. Training of our company systems and programs will be provided.

Create Project Plans

  • Develop concrete, detailed plans for a project, including the schedule, outlining the duties of each team members, identifying project goals, and setting a timeline for the project.

  • Collaborate with various teams and hold meetings to develop project plans and present them to upper-level management before starting the project.

Monitor Project Progress

  • Closely monitors each project, to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines and develop according to plan.

  • Responsible not only for identifying project objectives, but ensuring that they’re met.

Report Project Results

  • Responsible for gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting or presenting them to the appropriate parties. This includes reporting on the success of the project and any setbacks that were encountered or room for improvement.

Skills

  • Detail-oriented multi-tasker

  • Great communication skills and are able to easily adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Able to interact comfortably with both clients and other internal departments

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Drive

  • Can communicate confidentially, is well organized and has a good sense of priorities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • The ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision

This is a contract position.
